All parts arrived fast. The build was easy. The software on the cd-rom could not be read. I had to download it from the internet. The power supply unit caused a bang on insertion and the fuse shut it off. It is dead now, never worked. Firmware on board is grpl 0. (newest is 1.1) Some axis were turned over reverse. This could be fixed with $3=0 command.

It took me a while to get started because the provided USB cable was broken and I thought it was a driver issue. It seems all almost as expected, but I couldn't cut anything yet because there are no clamps (the 4 'plates' come as depicted in the photo but cannot be used without drilling a hole through the work piece). I noticed that the controller chips don't have coolers, while most other versions of the 3018 Pro I saw online do have at least passive coolers installed. This may be an issue in the future. Also, some other versions seem to have rubber feet, not this version though. The anti backlash nuts are smaller/cheaper than depicted for this product, I'm not sure if they are much worse. As previous reviews noted, this controller comes with an old Grbl version (0.j).

The grey injection molded parts are deformed. The Z axis stuck because of the deformation. I would not recommend for precise work. I have to replace low quality parts to work better,
